Product Presentation:

Cellulose Acetate Butyrate automotive paint is a cellulose ester with medium butyryl content and low viscosity. It was designed for use where low-application viscosities at relatively high solids levels is needed. It is soluble in a wide range of solvents and compatible with many other resins. It will also tolerate the use of solvent blends currently exempt from certain air pollution regulations. It is supplied as a dry, free-flowing powder.

CAB  is a type of cellulose ester derivative. It is widely used as an additive in fields such as coatings, inks, and automotive paints.

Performance ：

•      Enhance the drying speed of the paint film

•      Improve UV resistance, weather resistance, gloss retention and color retention

•      Enhance the orientation of aluminum flakes to improve color vividness and enhance the metallic appearance of aluminum flakes

•      Improve the application performance of the paint film and ensure uniform thickness

•      Enhance the solvent resistance of automotive coatings

•      Prevent sagging and suppress cratering

•      Provide good wetting properties for pigments and shorten the color paste grinding time

•      Offer a water-white color and good transparency

•       Resist plasticizer migration and enable easy polishing

Package & Storage:

• Package:  20kgs/ctn with an inner PE bag, palletized: 6ctns/layer

• 10 layers(60ctns)/pallet 

• Loadability in container 20'/40'  (Palletized): 12000kg. / 24000kg

• Store at room temperature. Keep package closed after using

• Based on our experience the shelf life of this product under above conditions is at least 2 years

• If it exceeds the 2-year shelf life, it can continue to be used after passing the test
